GSC Black Rock Shooter

Good Smile Company’s Black Rock Shooter — the one that almost got away.  I had her on my pre-order list, dropped her, picked her up again, dropped her again, and picked her up once more.  One of the reason she was dropped twice is the fact that she was delayed one too many times.  The only reason that I picked her up (again) many times after is because she is one sexy figure.  Then, of course, I learned later that she’s a reincarnation of Hatsune Miku, which might have played a big role subliminally.

MegaHouse Queen’s Blade Alleyne

Alleyne -the Combat Instructor- is the latest gal from the Queen’s Blade universe to be released in MegaHouse’s Queen’s Blade line of figures.  I was sold immediately when I saw her promotional photos earlier this year and pre-ordered her right away because I love her character design.  Alleyne’s design is not cliché, the colour works well together, and her face looks simply stunning — adding up to one beautiful figure.  Do be advised that this review is NSFW!

Kotobukiya Asuka Langley Shikinami

Asuka Langley have seen many figures of her made over the years in more outfits than I can name; but oddly enough, she only received a handful of sculpts in her renowned plugsuit.  Looking at them now, most of them were average to mediocre and would not have pass the eyeball test anyways.  But times have changed, and Kotobukiya brings us a dandy with their Evangelion 2.0 Asuka Langley Shikinami.  Don’t ask me why she’s called Shikinami, I haven’t watched EVA 2.0 yet. ^^;;

Alpha x Omega Sheryl Nome

Sheryl Nome is the latest character to be given the figure treatment by one of the best figure makers in the industry, Alpha x Omega – a collaboration between Alter and MegaHouse.

Sheryl is one of the main character in the popular anime series Macross Frontier, a tribute anime celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Macross franchise.  She is also known as the Galactic Fairy due to her beauty, singing talent, and popularity as the galaxy’s top idol.
