Canada Post ~ “Value added service”

Canada Post is our national postal service, and like many other bloggers, I’ll be writing about how much I LOVE them!  I’m just wondering how many people knew I lived in the great white north (a.k.a. Canada)?

I’ve never sent anything larger than a letter with Canada Post in my life because they are mighty expensive to ship with.  This is probably why you don’t see that many Canadian eBayers, and why Canadian exporters are at a disadvantage.  Take a look at the screenshot after the break.  The same package was EMS’d from Japan for ¥2,200.

2009 Scotiabank Nuit Blanche

Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, Toronto’s all-night contemporary art thing, took place last night in the heart of downtown Toronto.  Nuit Blanche is an all-night art festival that originated in Paris in 2002, but have since been adopted by many other cities around the globe.  This is Toronto’s fourth Nuit Blanche, and my first time attending.

This Week in Life ~ September

I attended a friend’s wedding ceremony over the weekend at this lovely inn built in the late 1700s called the Old Mill Inn, located near downtown Toronto.  Funny thing is, the building is located on a street called Old Mill Road, but there were three other streets around the area called “Old Mill [Something]“…needless to say, some of us had trouble finding this place. ^^;;

As the title suggests, I’ll be talking about what I’ve been up to in the month of September in this post (or more precisely, the past two weeks.)  I should call it “This Month in Life” instead, but this week sounds better.  So what’s up in life?  School, work, etc….but mostly school and work.  They eat up 50-60 hours of my life each week not including the dreaded 10-12 hours of total commute time.  Not much of a life, heh.
