Just ordered this 1/8 Kotobukiya Taiga Dengeki exclusive from Tokyo Hunter today. She’s such a cutie, I can’t wait until she arrives. I was quite skeptical with this get because of her steep price, but her cute face and bikini more than justifies for it…I can do with more bikini figures. ^^
Here are my current pre-orders for the rest of the year, and you might notice some changes have been made to the list since I posted an update back in March. I’ve been trying to cut back on figure buys because I want to get something nice other than figures, and you all know I’ve been failing to do so…miserably. “orz
My current goal is to keep figure purchases to under $300 per month after shipping (except August which is impossible to cut back), which usually translates to 2-3 figures at regular price.
October:
Good Smile’s 1/4 Fate Swimsuit Ver. will look really nice on my desk, but I might cancel her in the end if something else comes out in October.

Mega House will probably spam us with more Queen’s Blade figures for the rest of the year, Alice special edition maybe? Allean is an easy buy for me, especially since there’s nothing else I want in September.

MegaHouse’s Taiga Aisaka might end up on the chopping board if needed. I still want a Taiga in her Seifuku.

I usually keep all my pre-orders, but there’s just too many of them being released at the same time…can’t afford to buy them all. Those who didn’t make the cut include:

I really hope my list stays like this, but I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more September and October releases soon. Did anyone else have to cancel some pre-orders because there were too many figures being released? See anything here on your buy list?

I wanted to get Mirim and Echidna as well, but decided to cancel them since August was getting too expensive, I’m already spending 50k yen. “orz I’m not that much of a fanatic for QB anyways, though they’re really nice girls.
I think the top figure makers are trying to run the other companies out of business with all these releases.
I asked the price he was taking on Taiga from Tokyo Hunter. I would’ve accepted the price if it “includes” shipping. I know I will regret in the long term but I will try and find her another way. If I don’t, then it’s back luck for me. -_-

I jumped on the “pre-order Lily bandwagon” early when she was announced. A few weeks later, I had to think hard if I really want her or not like ask myself tough questions like “Am I a lily fanboy”, “Do I have space to display her?” etc.
She’s not on my preorder list anymore. -_-
The price is steep, I just hope she’s one of the top-notch Koto figures…or Koto have improved their overall quality since my last Koto figure. I’ve been wanting this Vita-chan since watching StrikerS, so it was a no brainer for me when I saw her up for re-release pre-order, definitely won’t regret this one.
I don’t have a Saber figure to speak of aside from two Revoltechs. ^^;; Yeah, I don’t think anyone noticed that yet. I just want a Saber figure in my collection, even if I’m not a huge fan of her’s. What other figures do you have on pre-order that topped Lily?
I am really tempted to preorder bikini fate and alter saber, I noticed they are rerunning Airi, should have waited because I prefer the original color. I have had to chopped BRS, Bible Black set within the past month, to free up funds for Feito and Alter Saber.
I’m glad that MegaHouse is deciding to re-issue the QB figures as special edition, but at the same time, I wished they would’ve spaced out their releases.
Just Alter Fate for me here. That’s it.
Figures are really getting more and more expensive recently, and the fact that many are going ‘exclusive’ or ‘limited’ doesn’t help much either. I really would just stick with cheaper hobbies that I’ve been used like in the past soon or later.
It’s really painful to see the figure prices skyrocket recently, and I hate how the ‘exclusive/limited’ figure(s) are Japan only so it costs us an arm and a leg to buy. I guess we’ll have to make-do with the funds we have and buy more diligently, or switch hobby and sell the girls to recover some funds for the new hobby.
That Bikini Saber doesn’t look like Saber. The face is like a generic anime face, and the hair.
It looks nice, but there’s better stuff to get, heh.

I would have preordered Saber Lily (the two Saber Lilies + the nendo because they’re just awesomely cute) but I’m broke. :( Plus they’d arrive when I am likely to leave for uni, so… I gotta hold it off for another couple of months.
And darn, that Taiga fig is cute.
I wish that “lolilicious” thought was still in my mind…I can’t get “she’s a dwarf!” out of my mind now…in the end I canceled that pre-order since I bought a couple other figures instead. ^^;;
